The DIET is situated in the Sadar town Berhampore of the District Murshidabad. The location of DIET is very significant place which is not far from N. H. 34 Road as well as Berhampore Court Railway Station(Eastern Railway) & Central Sericulture Research & Training Institute.
The Berhampore Govt. P.T.T.I had been upgraded to DIET in the year 2006 vide School Education. Department’s Memo No. 201(Sanc)/1/(50)-SE(P)/4P-63/2000,dated – 21.08.2006. Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) has been conducted here.
